Best catfish house in the area. Generous portion sizes. They use US catfish, not imported.

I use to love to go to Fred's. I love their fish. However for the last year or so they have been gradually going down. What I mean by that is the fish and other food is gradually getting smaller. While the prices are going up. Not good business. They still have time to pull it out of this but, but they need to get busy and do it now.

Not a healthy place to eat at. Everything is fried. Large portions but if you are sensitive to grease don't waste your time. Waitress had several tables at the same time. She handled it. Now the cook....my husband couldn't eat his walleye...fried while frozen...a real disappointment! It's their specialty but they didn't tell the cook! We did see a cook wanted sign in the window as we were leaving.

What a great place to eat. I eat here often and have never been disappointed. The servers are great, the food is great, the old building Is great and only a block away from Mammoth Spring Park.

My sisters and I go every year because we love their fish, it's always so good! The people here are so nice, the service is great, prices are good and it never disappoints.

Them hush puppies are so good they just about make you slap ya momma!

Great dessert but that’s it. Water taste like chlorine, and the soda was flat. The fish had NO flavor. The coleslaw was watery. The baked potato was old.

Waitress was great, food good but not as good as it use to be

Great food... when asked for tator sauce the waitress gave me the are u kidding look.... no im not kidding I ordered fish. Duh

Without any doubt the best catfish around this area. Service is always good.Not very fancy, but who cares.

Seafood platter is the perfect sampler, the pickled green tomatoes and coleslaw are a great pairing for the fried stuff. The okra and hush puppies are delectable! The service is top notch!

Have eaten here several times. Fish is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Always a destination when we are in the area.

It was okay the fish had a little taste to it but other than that is and being pricey but it was all right good place to eat

Been coming here for several years when in town on vacation. Love the 4 piece catfish special. Will be back next year

Best fish I've ever tasted

The hush puppies were by far the best I ever had. The owner was very nice too, and we Ll had a good laugh when I had to walk back in to return a piece of silverware my toddler tried to take as a souvenir. If I ever make it back that way we will definitely stop in again

Food was good, but pieces of fish were small compared to other restaurants! They had a 4 piece lunch special, but the 4 piece looked liked 2 fillets cut lengthwise to make 4 pieces. Doubt I'll go back if that's their sizes...

Fred's is a fantastic place to eat catfish! The service is great, the good always comes out hot and the prices aren't too high. I've also head salmon and other items off the menu and I've never been disappointed. It's definitely one of our favorite places to eat. If you create a place to eat some good catfish Fred's in Mammoth Springs Arkansas it where you need to be!

Way over priced considering the food isn't anything to brag about. Its just your run of the mill fried food. Visited this place a few years back. Thought to give it a second chance hoping it had improved NOPE. This is more a place for the locals to congregate and visit with each other. As for the service , it's slow.

Wonderful as always, service was great! Food was wonderful and the pie was exceptionally good last night. I love the lemon pie and when I can actually taste the lemon oh wow then it is Really good!

This was the worst fish I have ever ate. Dried out from over cooking, batter was all that was there. No fish inside. The fries were over cooked as well and cold. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent Catfish, best place in the Ozarks I've been too yet. I usually get the 21pc shrimp plate if the special of the night doesn't interest me, but I have always been a satisfied customer every time I visited. Great service, great atmosphere, all around great place to have a good great meal.

It is THE place to go if you love catfish. Plus the pickled tomatoes are a must and don't forget to ask for your slice of onion. Finish up with a piece of the peanut butter pie and you will be ready for a walk around Mammoth Spring Park just across the road.

Good fresh fish. Great small town feel and they completely fill your plate. This place is worth it if you like catfish.

Great food and small town family atmosphere

It was overly expensive for the quality of the meals however you got a bunch of food on your plate. Also, the scenery was not intriguing and did not entertain you while you awaited your meal.
